What Do I Put On My Landing Page?
One question I get all the time after people have figured out they need a website.
What do I put on it and how many pages do I need?
I recommend creating a one page website or landing page in an easy to use platform like Squarespace where you can put your offer out there quickly!
I go over these more in depth in Square Dare but here is the overview of landing page essentials for your new or existing website.
Landing Page Essentials
Top of Website aka Above the Fold Section
This is the most important part of your website.
You need to engage your potential clients or customers attention or else they won’t stay on your website.
Logo- This can also be your business or brand name.
Mission Statement- Who you are, what you do and who you serve.
Call to Action- CTA- What do you want your website visitors to do?
High quality photo(s) or graphics- This makes your website look professional
Middle of Website
Here you can go a little deeper into your products, services and facts about yourself.
Unique qualities- What makes you different and stand out in your area of expertise?
Products or Services- Include your offers and short summaries
Seasonal items- if applicable
Testimonials- Show off those great reviews and praise!
Creator Bio- Give a short synopsis of your story and what led you to this path.
High quality photo(s) or graphics- This makes your website look professional
Bottom of Website
Most website visitors will not scroll all the way down to the bottom of your website.
Don’t include anything that is important only in the footer.
Footer- Include privacy policy and other legal disclaimers
Call to Action- CTA- Repeat the previous CTA from the top section as a reminder
Quick links- So they don’t have to scroll all the way back up
