6 Tips to Save Time for Side Hustlers and Entrepreneurs

If you just started your business or you’re freelancing one thing you definitely need is more time, right? This is one thing I’ve struggled with as a new business owner and figuring out how to prioritize tasks so I’m not wasting time. If you’re ready to stop wasting time as a business owner keep reading for some time saving tips.

Tip #1

Use automations on your website and your email. There are so many automations you can add to your site and business!

One of best automations to help clients know your working hours while still seeming available is the email auto responder.

I also love using calendly to schedule my consult calls and coffee chats with fellow business owners.

Tip #2

Use an email marketing system. My favorite is ConvertKit but Flodesk also has awesome design features.

With an email marketing system you can schedule emails, create a landing page, create funnels, deliver a lead magnet and sell digital products.

Tip #3

Outsource the tasks you hate. There are some things best left to professionals like taxes and legal.

So make sure to find people or freelancers to hand off these important tasks too. That way you can keep your expertise and time focused on what you do best.

You can also use software. I like to use copy.ai to help me generate copy for social media posts and help my clients generate words for their website.

Tip #4

Use software and tools to create and schedule content. There are so many apps and software available to use that make content creation so much easier whether you’re a designer or not.

A few free ones are Canva to create social media content and graphics, Tailwind to create and schedule Pins and copy.ai to help you create copy for your website and social media posts.

Tip #5

Avoid busy work that doesn’t move the needle or help your business. Have you been steadily posting on Instagram just because a self proclaimed social media guru said it was the best thing for you to do?

If you hate doing it, it feels like a waste of time and you aren’t gaining any interest or leads from it feel free to dump this strategy for another one.

Tip #6

Analyze your data and keep investing in the strategies that work. We all enjoy scrolling on social media (TikTok anyone?) but it can be a waste of time if not used strategically.

I’ve fallen down the TikTok rabbit hole one too many times in the name of research. It’s good to know the habits that waste time. This way you can reduce them or completely cut them out for days when a deadline is approaching and you need to get work done.

Investing your time or money in the strategies that work for your business keeps your efficiency up.
