3 Landing Page Must Haves for 2024
Do you remember how the web used to look when you couldn’t carry it in your pocket? Slow loading and filled with bright and cheesy graphics loading on the family computer in a designated room. I don’t think anyone could have predicted the evolution from there to now.
I’m not going convince you that websites are essential for online business owners in 2024.
I know plenty of people who find success using social media or other platforms.
When you want to create one place that has all your information together, that won’t disappear overnight, that’s what your landing page is for.
Here are 3 landing page must haves for 2024.
Eye Catching Visuals
Grainy photos and pixelated graphics aren’t going to cut it anymore. Don’t worry I’m not going to tell you to buy expensive photos.
There are plenty of places to find high quality stock photos and graphics. If you my curated list of resources for free check out Pics for Clicks.
My favorite for stock photos is Unsplash. I love to browse the site for images for my clients and to create graphic design work in my downtime for fun.
If you love creating posts and videos on social media you can add those to your website! Using mockups showcases your posts to website visitors.
As a service based business owner or entrepreneur you can also show off your digital offers through mockups. This makes your offers and services more real for your ideal clients and customers.
A Reason To Scroll
Pretty pictures aren’t enough to intrigue people to stay on your website. This is where having a strategy behind your visuals and your words comes in handy.
If you have multiple offers using the value ladder system of giving sneak peeks of your offers from the highest cost to the lowest helps showcase your range.
Another great thing to include on your landing page is a lead magnet. This is an offer that you provide for free in exchange for someone’s email address and subscription to your email list.
When creating a lead magnet make sure you’re creating an offer that provides value and solves a paint point for your audience of potential clients.
For example if you’re a copywriter offering a simple formula for someone to write their mission statement or headline for their business is a great lead magnet idea.
Words That Speak to Them
There are many different methods to write your website copy. If you have access to your audience or potential clients online doing market research will help you understand their pain points and create offers they will love. Asking open ended questions will help validate your offers and services.
If you don’t have access to your audience or just want another way to do market research going to online forums or websites to see what your ideal clients are asking or searching for will give your valuable insights. A few of my favorites are Answer the Public and Reddit.
I love research but if it confuses and you don’t know where to start check out the three types of research business owners need in their business.
Making sure that you’re speaking to your niche audience and their pain points will keep them engaged and scrolling on your website.
