My "Aha Moment" About Embracing the Weird
I’m Kristen and I’ve always self identified as a weirdo. When I was a kid I felt so different but couldn’t explain why. I’m an introvert that likes to read so most kids didn’t know what to do with me.
I did have one friend growing up who also loved to read.
We even had a reading contest to see who could read one page the fastest! Not to brag but I won!
I also love to learn especially subjects that interest me outside of school.
I would go down research rabbit holes and emerge hours later confused about where the time went!
These interests made me feel weird but have served me well in the long run.
How I Learned to Embrace the Weird
If I didn’t love reading…
I never would have read the amazing books that inspired me to start my entrepreneurship journey. One of these books is Everything is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo.
I can’t say enough great things about this book. It isn’t just for entrepreneurs but for anyone who wants to take action to achieve their dreams!
If I didn’t love learning…
I never would have learned tons of new skills that I use now to help others create their websites and earn more money.
Have I learned about some things that I don’t really need to know? Sure.
But how do you know if something isn’t for you unless you take some time to learn about it?
I’ve take so many courses, read books and studied a wide range of subjects.
All of these learning experiences were important even if the only thing I learned is “I don’t want to do this!”
So learn to embrace your weird and quirky self and let me know how they have helped you below in the comments.
